As we continue exploring The Way of Alignment, I want to spend some time with the text that shaped the foundation of this entire framework: Genesis 1 through 2:1. These verses are often read as a historical account of creation, but when I began to see them as teaching parable, everything shifted.
Moses wasn’t simply telling a story. He was teaching a people how to understand themselves, their world, and their God.
And when we read Genesis that way — as instruction rather than information — we begin to see truths about our own nature, our own alignment, and the laws that govern how life works.

🌿 The Trinity as the Nature of God — and Our Nature
The very first verses of Genesis reveal something essential:
God
God’s Spirit
God’s Word
Three expressions, one Being.Three dimensions, one essence.
This is the Trinity — not as a doctrine to memorize, but as a pattern of existence.
And because we are made in the image and likeness of God, this trinitarian nature is also our nature.
We are:
Soul (our essence, identity, and inner knowing)
Mind (our thoughts, interpretations, and meaning‑making)
Body (our actions, behaviors, and lived expression)
Three dimensions, one person.
When any one of these dimensions is out of alignment, the whole of our life feels off. When they move together, we experience clarity, steadiness, and wholeness.
This is why alignment matters. It’s not a self‑help idea. It’s a reflection of our design.
🌿 The Hermetic Laws in Genesis 1
As I continued reading Genesis 1, I began to notice something unexpected:the Hermetic Laws — universal principles found across cultures — were embedded right there in the creation parable.
Not as something Moses borrowed, but as something Moses understood.
Because if these laws are truly universal, then they would naturally appear in the earliest teaching parables about how life works.
In Genesis 1, we see:
The Law of Mentalism — creation begins in the mind of God
The Law of Correspondence — “as above, so below” reflected in the ordering of heaven and earth
The Law of Vibration — the movement of Spirit over the waters
The Law of Polarity — light and darkness, waters above and below
The Law of Rhythm — evening and morning, the cycles of creation
The Law of Cause and Effect — God speaks, and it becomes
The Law of Gender — the masculine and feminine principles of initiation and formation
And then Genesis 2:1 concludes the pattern:
“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all their hosts.”
Completion.Wholeness.Alignment.
The presence of these laws in Genesis doesn’t diminish Scripture — it reveals its depth. It shows us that Moses was teaching foundational truths about how life works, using metaphor and parable to guide a people into understanding.
🌿 What This Means for Us: Living as Three‑Dimensional Beings
If we are trinitarian beings — Soul, Mind, and Body — then alignment requires all three dimensions to move together.
Soul must lead
Mind must interpret truthfully
Body must act in agreement
When Soul knows one thing, Mind believes another, and Body does something else entirely, we feel fragmented, confused, and exhausted.
This is why so many of us feel pulled in a million directions. It’s not because life is chaotic — it’s because we are divided.
The Way of Alignment helps us return to wholeness by applying the same laws found in the creation parable:
Mentalism: What you hold in your inner world shapes your outer world
Correspondence: Your life reflects your internal state
Vibration: Your emotional frequency influences your experience
Polarity: Opposites exist to teach, not to punish
Rhythm: Life moves in cycles — honor them
Cause and Effect: Your choices create your outcomes
Gender: Creation requires both initiation and nurturing
These aren’t abstract ideas. They are practical tools for living a grounded, abundant, aligned life.
🌿 A Closing Thought
Genesis 1 isn’t just a story about how the world began. It’s a story about how we begin — how we create, how we align, how we return to ourselves.
When we understand our trinitarian nature and the laws that govern creation, we gain a clearer path for how to live with intention, clarity, and truth.
This is the heart of The Way of Alignment. And I’m grateful to walk this path with you.
