Honoring Your Inner Trinity: Living an Aligned Life

Genesis is the first book of the Bible, and because of that, it’s the one I’ve read the most. Even as a child, long before I had language for “spiritual journey,” I knew one thing: when I was afraid or overwhelmed, God could help me. So I would grab a Bible and start reading — and like many people, I started “at the beginning.”

For years, I read Genesis with literal eyes. I didn’t gain much from it because I wasn’t yet reading for meaning. I wasn’t reading symbolically. I wasn’t reading spiritually. I was reading for comfort.

But everything changed in 2023.

When I left my corporate job and told myself it would be my last J.O.B., I did what I’ve always done in moments of fear: I went back to the Word. But this time, something was different. As I read, questions started rising in me — not about the stories, but about how to apply what I was reading.

And every time I formed a question in my mind, the next time I opened the Bible, I received a revelation that answered it.

That’s when I started Coffee & The Word on TikTok Live on 1/1/24. I felt a gentle push:“If you read with others, you’ll stay consistent — and you’ll have community to help you discern the deeper meaning.”

One of the first questions I brought to the text was about the Trinity. I grew up in the Black Baptist Church, so I’d heard about the Trinity all my life — Father, Son, Holy Ghost — but I had never actually seen the word “Trinity” in the Bible. So I went looking for it.

And that’s when everything opened.

I realized that even though the Trinity wasn’t explicitly named in Genesis, it was there — hidden in the symbolism, woven into the language, embedded in the pattern of creation.

And once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it.

That moment changed the way I read the Bible forever.

🌿 What Is the Inner Trinity?

In the creation story, we see evidence that the nature of God is three‑fold. In Christian tradition, this is expressed as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

But in Genesis 1, the pattern appears like this:

  • Spirit — the Holy Spirit

  • The Deep / Waters — the Mind of God

  • The Word — the creative force that brings form

This aligns perfectly with John 1:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Later in Genesis, when God creates humanity — “God made MANifest” — we see the pattern again:

  • Spirit

  • Masculine

  • Feminine

Another Trinity.

And because God’s patterns remain true no matter the context, this pattern repeats within us.

We each carry a trinity inside:

  • Body — the physical expression (masculine energy)

  • Mind — the thinking, perceiving, interpreting (feminine energy)

  • Soul — the divine spark, the God‑consciousness within us

This is the Inner Trinity.

And the LAW — the first principle of The Way of Alignment — teaches that to live abundant, healthy, aligned lives, these three dimensions must be in harmony.

🌿 How Misalignment Shows Up

Your Soul never moves out of alignment with God.But your Mind and Body can.

And when they do, you feel it.

Mind Misalignment → Emotional Signals

Emotion = energy in motion. When your thoughts contradict what your Soul knows to be true, you feel:

  • anxiety

  • fear

  • jealousy

  • anger

  • confusion

These are not “bad emotions.”They are signals.

Body Misalignment → Physical Signals

When your actions, habits, or environment contradict your Soul’s truth, you experience:

  • burnout

  • sluggishness

  • dis‑ease (lack of ease)

  • chronic tension

  • exhaustion

Your body speaks loudly when your life is out of alignment.

Alignment → Righteousness, Wellness, Abundance

When your Mind is aligned, you are “right‑thinking” — righteous. When your Body is aligned, you experience health, vitality, and flow. When your Soul leads, you experience clarity, peace, and purpose.

Healthy.Wealthy.Wise.

This is the promise of alignment.

🌿 Why People Stay Misaligned

Most people try to fix the symptoms of misalignment:

  • new diet

  • new workout

  • new planner

  • new habit

  • new relationship

  • new job

  • new coping mechanism

But symptoms repeat when the root is untouched.

Authentic alignment requires:

  • honesty

  • self‑awareness

  • rest

  • space

  • listening

  • courage

Many of us have never been taught how to hear our Soul — or even that we have one.

This is why so many Black women who were laid off last year are experiencing a hidden blessing. For the first time in a long time, they have the space to hear themselves again.

But you can’t hear your Soul if you keep turning the volume down.

You must recognize the symptoms.

🌿 God Designed Us for Alignment

God created us to be right‑minded people who understand how to live in alignment with what our Soul knows. He gave us the Laws so we would understand the “rules of the game.” And Yeshua came to remind us of them.

When we live in alignment and operate by the LAW, we experience the abundant life Yeshua promised.

But it begins with one thing:

Learning to hear and honor your intuition — in everything.

Your intuition is the voice of your Soul.Your Soul is the spark of God within you.And alignment is the path back to yourself.

Next week, we’ll explore how this pattern continues in Genesis 2 and 3 — and what it reveals about fear, misalignment, and the human journey.

🌿 Reflection Prompt

Where in your life is your Soul saying one thing, your Mind saying another, and your Body doing something else?

Sit with that.Your alignment begins there.
