Walking the Way: Reflections on Genesis 3&4, and the Path That Keeps Revealing Itself

Every step I’ve taken while sharing what I call The Way of Alignment has made the path clearer. When I first began, I could see the starting point, but I didn’t know what I would discover as I kept walking. It has felt a little like following the Yellow Brick Road — familiar enough to trust, but full of surprises as it unfolds beneath my feet.

Last week, while preparing to teach Genesis 3, I started using the Orthodox Jewish Bible so I could see the Hebrew words behind the English. That one decision opened the text in a completely new way. Suddenly Adam wasn’t just “Adam” — he was HaAdam, the man, humanity. Eve wasn’t simply “Eve” — she was Isha or HaIsha, the feminine. And when HaAdam names his HaIsha Chaveh, the life‑connector, something clicked for me. The text wasn’t just telling a story; it was describing an inner architecture.

But the moment that stayed with me most was when I noticed the phrase I had somehow overlooked for years: The Way of the Tree of Life. Not just the Tree itself — the Way of it. That was the turning point. That was when I realized I had stumbled onto the very Way Yeshua referred to. And the cherubim and flaming sword that “hid” it? They weren’t barriers. They were symbols — the language of allegory and parable. The Way wasn’t blocked. It was encoded.

This week, while preparing to teach Genesis 4, another layer revealed itself. In the story of Cain and Abel, I found what I now call the Fear Cycle — a pattern hidden inside the narrative that shows how fear moves through the human experience. It’s another artifact placed in the text so that, even though we have access to both faith and fear, we can recognize the danger of choosing fear and learn how to interrupt it.

Each week, as I study, something else rises to the surface. Another element. Another pattern. Another step in what I now understand as The Way of Alignment — or The Way of the Tree of Life. The name doesn’t matter as much as the truth behind it: the text is teaching us how to live.

And I’m excited about helping others not only understand these concepts but embody them. Alignment isn’t intellectual. It’s lived. It’s practiced. It’s something you feel in your choices, your relationships, your reactions, and your sense of inner grounding.

If you desire the freedom Yeshua promised…

If you want to walk the Way he taught…

If you’re ready to move from understanding to embodiment…
